DJ AM x Nike Dunk Hi – Closer Look

One of the most anticipated Nike sneakers this year are the ones which they’ve collaborated with DJ AM. It’s very tragic to have such attractive sneakers yet know that one of the greatest DJ’s of all time has passed away and at such as young age of 36. The DJ has passed on August 28th, 2008 and I’m sure many people will remember this day. Although a great DJ many of us who have followed DJ AM know how much of a sneaker head he was.

These QS is featured in a red and black colorway which is accented with 3M reflective accents. The red upper is constructed of premium leathers while the black is made up of patent leather, a great mesh of two materials. Also featured on the sneaker is a black sole, along with a white mid-sole. Topping off the sneaker Nike has placed a off-white colored Nike Swoosh on the mid-sole, along with the words “DJ AM” placed right on the tongue. That I must admit is the best accent on the sneaker. The sneaker will release on January 9th at select retailers such as Classic Kicks NYC. Take a detailed look at the sneaker after the jump.

BRING IN THE NEW YEAR IN STYLE Nike SB Spring 2010 Dunk Hi Quickstrike “Booom”

2010 is a couple of days away, and what better way to start off the year than with a Bang! According to Nike, a better way to start it would be with a  “Booom.” Here we have the Nike SB Spring 2010 Dunk Hi Quickstrike “Booom.” With this being the first Quickstrike of the upcoming year, we’re sure it will only get better from here.

These kicks are definitely not simple, mixing a variety of colors, but are done tastefully right. The toe box, side panel, and ankle area are done in black leather, with the toe guard, and the ankle strap coming in blue leather. The rest of the shoe gets a red inner lining, red laces, and a red Nike Swoosh, with white lace holders, a yellow heel tab, and a yellow “Booom” explosion behind the Nike Swoosh. To finish off the shoe, a white mid sole sits on top of a blue sole. Stay tuned for a release date.
